The Observer Research Foundation (ORF) is one of the largest and most important public policy think tanks in India. Through its broad network of contacts with the Indian government, politicians, journalists and other decision-makers and multipliers, the ORF is of great strategic importance for German development cooperation. ORF and GIZ recently collaborated on the Energy Transition Dialogue and facilitated the participation of State Secretary BMZ Jochen Flasbarth in a high-level ministerial meeting on "The G20 and Beyond: A Roadmap for Growth, Sustainability, and Resilience". This year, ORF and GIZ are ready to further expand their partnership by leading an Indo-German initiative for an investor conference planned for November 2024, aimed at boosting green investments in India. As a first point of contact in the run-up to the conference, ORF and GIZ have cooperated at the Raisina Dialogue in February 2024 to promote a meaningful exchange between key stakeholders. The integrated expert is expected to contribute to this collaboration and also drive further potential collaborations in the field of green transformation. The field of activity is Energy Transition and Clean Technology Partnership. To further steer its research projects in the area of energy transition and EU-India Clean Technology Partnership - with a focus on shaping the agenda beyond India's G20 and for the next EU mandate - ORF is looking for an Integrated Expert (IE) with expertise and experience in green transformations from a European Union perspective, so that he/she can act as a catalyst for fruitful interactions on this topic and contribute to strengthening the collective understanding of the green transformation landscape in India and Germany.

• Research tasks (publications): This includes preparation of policy briefs, issue briefs and other papers for ORF; preparation of briefings/background briefs for ministries and research papers for reputed international journals; development of short, analytical opinion pieces for Indian and international mainstream publications.
• Building a community of international experts for ORF.
• Creating formal access channels to international experts.
• Information dissemination and organizational tasks: ORF will organize conferences and workshops in Africa, South and South East Asia, such as the Kigali Global Dialogue, Cape Town Conversation, CyFy, the Dhaka Global Dialogue, - it is expected that the expert will be involved Support in these initiatives. In addition, the expert will need to work closely with other experts in the ORF Center for Economy and Growth.
• Fundraising, international partnerships, in-kind contributions from partners: this includes identifying new funding opportunities for ORF initiatives in the Center for Economy and Growth, including new projects with European research foundations and European development agencies. It also includes managing existing ORF partnerships with private organizations, Indian government agencies and government agencies of other countries. 

• Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant field like climate science, energy policy, sustainable energy, environmental policy, and European studies.
• At least 10 years of relevant work experience.
• Expertise and a track record of impactful work on European and international energy transition goals, trends, technologies, policies and business interests
• Good knowledge of international climate policy, EU external action institutions, platforms and actors
• Senior networks at EU, European Member State, and international levels on energy transition
• Experience in managing and producing research outputs, project reports
• Experience in convening high-level and expert stakeholder engagements
• Fluent in english, other languages are an asset
