Trainee for our Training and Skills Development Team (f/m)
What we offer

Our team designs and implements training and broader HR development programmes in a variety of countries, mainly for financial sector stakeholders in Africa. Our clients include banks and microfinance institutions as well as development partners such as KfW, GIZ, EBRD and Mastercard Foundation. We also set up and manage training academies in several countries, targeting youth and professionals with different backgrounds.
As a trainee in our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in all steps of a project life cycle across a range of different projects in the area of Training and Skills Development. This may include the design of training materials, the creation of online learning modules, participation in training needs analyses and sector studies as well as a centralised support to the set-up of our training centres in various countries.
You bring the following to the team:
You have a natural curiosity for other countries and cultures and a strong interest in living and working abroad in the type of countries where we operate. You also welcome challenges and want to do more than “just a job”.
More specifically, we would like you to have:
- first experience in designing and conducting practical, engaging training for adults, ideally with people from countries we operate in;
- experience in working and/ or living in transition economies or developing countries;
- experience in designing and implementing e-learning/blended learning courses or at least an aptitude for using applications for content and learning design;
- basic knowledge of business and economics;
- a very strong command of English and French;
- a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
Willingness to travel frequently and relocating to Frankfurt for the duration of the traineeship are necessary. The duration of the traineeship will be two years with the option of becoming an IPC expert should both sides wish to continue working together.
